2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics: The Complete Odds, Parallel, and Print Run Breakdown

2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics: The Complete Odds, Parallel, and Print Run Breakdown

2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics released July 1, and Topps posted the odds sheet linked from its product page on June 1. It runs 179 lines across seven columns: Hobby, three Value columns and three Mega columns. The retail columns are each split three ways (CEE, EA and SE) and match line for line, so the sheet really covers three formats. It lists no print runs. What it does have is a handful of one-of-one lines whose cards can be counted exactly in each format, and they pin each format's pack count: 662,016 hobby packs, 2,917,120 Value packs and 860,000 Mega packs. From there the odds point to a run for each numbered tier (every one that Topps' own previews show matches its serial number), count the cards with no serial number, and put about 95.5 percent of each numbered base and insert run in packs, with the autographs a little higher.

2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics Captain America base card, Captain America's Star Refractor numbered 01/41

The formats

Topps' checklist covers the Hobby, Value and Mega boxes in one file. Topps' product page for the release doesn't list cards per pack or packs per box for any of them, so the figures in this piece stay per pack.

The base card falls 1:1 in all three formats, so there's at least one base card for every pack. Past that, the formats are built very differently:

  • Hobby gets its own base parallels (the Storm's Lightning Refractors and the Marvel Logofractor), the Clawed Chrome Variation, 60 Years of Black Panther, Marvel Reflections and all of the sketch cards.
  • Value gets the RayWave Refractors and 65 Fantastic Years.
  • Mega gets the X-Fractors and X-Force 35th Anniversary.

Per pack, hobby is far richer. A real autograph (an artist, a Cordially Invited signer, a Varied Visage card or a cut) falls about once every 43 hobby packs, once every 237 Mega packs and once every 1,407 Value packs. Value packs outnumber hobby packs more than four to one, but hobby still holds about 15,500 of the roughly 21,200 real autographs, 73 percent. A sketch card, counting the Artist Originals, falls about once every 134 hobby packs. The six main inserts fall 1:6 each in hobby, which adds up to one a pack, against one every 1.3 Mega packs and one every 5.3 Value packs.

The checklist

Not counting sketch cards, Topps' checklist runs 744 cards. These are characters, not players, and a card with four characters on it counts once.

The base set is 200 characters, split by Topps into Characters I (#1 to #100, Abomination to Sleeper Agent) and Characters II (#101 to #200, Angela to X-23). Topps marks 17 of them as debuts: Dark Gwenpool, Dragonfire, Infernal Hulk, Mutina, Nightdrifter, Arachnix, Elbecca Voss, Evangeline, Glitch, Hellgate, Lady Henrietta, Raelith, Rapid, Sister Sorrow, Ultimate Daredevil, Venomizer and Venomouse. All 200 also come as a Base Clawed Chrome Variation, with Wolverine's claw marks slashed across the card, per Topps' product page.

The inserts:

  • Fanfare, 50 cards of comic art from modern Marvel artists, per Topps.
  • Marvel Icons, Meanwhile..., One World Under Doom (#1 to #20), Future Stars and The Beyond, 20 cards each.
  • Varied Visage: AoA, 11 Age of Apocalypse cards by Bella Rachlin.
  • Topps Originals, 10 cards of original art, two each by Lucio Parrillo, Ken Steacy, Nelson, Marc Sasso and Dan Brereton.
  • Classic Comic Book Covers (10, among them X-Men #31, Fantastic Four #72 and Uncanny X-Men #200), Astonishing (10, Alex Ross art, per Topps) and Golden Anniversaries (10, from Ajak and Arishem to Nova and Star-Lord).
  • One format each: 60 Years of Black Panther (10, hobby), 65 Fantastic Years (10, Value, Mister Fantastic to She-Hulk) and X-Force 35th Anniversary (10, Mega, Cable to Warpath).
  • Cordially Invited, five: Kevin Feige, Aaron Judge, Seth Meyers, Pete Alonso and Steve Aoki.
  • Marvel Reflections, five cards that each pair two characters: Blade and Mephisto, Bruce Banner and Hulk, Venom and Carnage, X-23 and Sentinel, and Iron Man and Fin Fang Foom.
  • Topps Patrimony, five: Human Torch and The Thing (both 1961), Drax (1973), Quasar (1978) and Rocket Raccoon (1982).
  • The One and Only, five: Sam Wilson, Morbius, Mighty Thor, Kang and Union Jack.

The Marvel Facsimile Autographs carry printed signatures, and Topps' checklist lists them with the inserts: 15 singles, six duals, four triples and two quads. The quads are Doctor Doom, Silver Surfer, Galactus and Namor on one card, and Venom, Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin and Spider-Man on the other.

The signed cards:

  • Authentic Marvel Comic Book Artist Autographs, 35 artists, among them Artgerm, Adi Granov, Kevin Eastman, Frank Miller, Arthur Adams, Bill Sienkiewicz, Greg Capullo, Marc Silvestri, Mark Bagley and Ron Lim.
  • Cordially Invited Autographs, six: the five above plus Patton Oswalt.
  • Varied Visage Autographs, the 11 Age of Apocalypse cards again, each listed with Bella Rachlin.

Under its relic heading Topps lists two more: The One and Only cut signatures of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko (two cards, one-of-ones per Topps' product page), and Comic Excerpts: Spider-Man, 12 cards with pieces of classic comics, from Web of Spider-Man #1 (1985) to Amazing Spider-Man #375 (1993).

The sketch cards come from 124 artists, plus Artist Originals sketches by Kevin Eastman and Adi Granov.

The base parallels

Odds per pack. Topps prints no runs, so the last column is the run the odds point to, worked out below. The sheet rounds its odds up, so each in-pack count is a floor:

Superfractor1:7,3561:42,2781:26,8751911/1

The Superfractor is the anchor. Each of its lines works out to whole cards: 662,016 hobby packs divided by 7,356 is 90.0, 2,917,120 Value packs divided by 42,278 is 69.0, and 860,000 Mega packs divided by 26,875 is 32.0. That's 191 of the 200 Superfractors in packs. Every tier above it lands on, or within a few cards of, 191 times a standard run. The Red lines come to 449 in hobby, 344 in Value and 162 in Mega, 955 in all, which is 191 times 5. The Black comes to 1,911 (191 times 10 is 1,910), the Orange to 4,777 to 4,784 (191 times 25 is 4,775) and the Gold to about 9,530 to 9,570 (191 times 50 is 9,550). So dividing any numbered line on this ladder by 191 gives its run, to within a fraction.

Two of those runs can be checked against Topps' own previews. The Captain America's Star Refractor at the top of this piece is numbered 01/41, and its three lines come to about 7,830, which is 41.0 times 191. Topps' Black Widow black parallel, below, is numbered 01/10.

2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics Black Widow base card, black parallel numbered 01/10

The rest follow the same arithmetic. Because the sheet rounds its odds up (more on that below), each line gives a narrow range rather than one number: Pink comes to 247 to 252 times 191, Blue 149 to 150, Hulk Green Lazer 98.6 to 99.4, Dazzler's Silver Rhythm 79.6 to 80.1, Purple Shimmer 74.7 to 75.2, Spider-Web Red/Blue 62.0 to 62.3 and Human Torch 38.9 to 39.0. The hobby-only Marvel Logofractor comes to 11,614 to 11,822 cards, and 191 times 61 is 11,651. Two lines are looser. The Spider-Web Refractor, at 1:19 in hobby, comes to 392 to 405 times 191, which takes in both /399 and /400 if it's numbered at all. The Aqua comes to 196 to 199, a touch under /199.

Every numbered line on this ladder except the hobby-only Logofractor splits the same way: about 47 percent of the cards in hobby packs, 36 percent in Value and 17 percent in Mega. Per pack, a hobby pack is about 5.7 times as likely as a Value pack to hold any of them and 3.6 times as likely as a Mega pack. Counting the Logofractor and the hobby-only Storm's tiers below, a numbered base parallel from Pink down falls about once every four hobby packs.

The Refractor is the one unnumbered line on the main ladder. At 1:2, 1:4 and 1:4 it comes to at least about 1.28 million cards, at least about 6,400 of each base card. Lines this short leave a wide window: the true count could be as much as half again higher.

The format exclusives

Each format has its own ladder on the base set, and each is seeded in one format only. Odds per pack in that format:

TierStorm's Lightning (hobby)RayWave (Value)X-Fractor (Mega)Run the odds point to

Black1:3471:1,5271:451/10
Red1:6941:3,0551:901/5

All three put the same number of cards in packs as the main ladder at the same tier. The Storm's Red Lightning is 662,016 divided by 694, or 953.9. The Red RayWave is 2,917,120 divided by 3,055, or 954.9, and the Red X-Fractor 860,000 divided by 901, or 954.5. With the rounding allowed for, all three are 955, 191 times 5, and the Black, Orange, Gold and Purple tiers line up the same way. The Green RayWave comes to 18,821 to 18,942 cards, which fits /99 (191 times 99 is 18,909) and not /100 (19,100). The Green X-Fractor, at 1:46, comes to 18,696 to 19,111 and the Storm's Green Lightning, at 1:35, to 18,915 to 19,471, so either could be /99 or /100.

The plain versions are unnumbered, and their short odds make these floors: at least about 220,700 Storm's Lightning Refractors (about 1,100 of each card), at least about 729,300 RayWave Refractors (about 3,650 of each) and at least 215,000 X-Fractors (1,075 of each).

The Clawed Chrome Variation

The Clawed Superfractor matches the base one: 662,016 divided by 3,467 is 190.95, so 191 of the 200, all in hobby. Its Black and Red lines are the same as the Storm's Black and Red Lightning. The plain Clawed card comes to about 19 of each character. If it carries a serial number, that count fits a /20 (191 times 20 is 3,820), but nothing from Topps says it does. Any Clawed Chrome card falls about once every 97 hobby packs.

  • Future Stars, Marvel Icons, Meanwhile..., One World Under Doom and The Beyond share one ladder: Gold Refractor 1:1,475, Orange 1:2,956, Black 1:7,356, Red 1:14,712 and Superfractor 1:73,558. For each 20-card set that's 955 Golds, 477 Oranges, 191 Blacks, 95 Reds and 19 Superfractors: /50, /25, /10, /5 and 1/1 at 95.5 percent, with 19 of the 20 one-of-ones.
  • Fanfare has its own: Green Speckle 1:298 (about 4,730, /99), Purple Speckle 1:394 (about 3,580, /75), Gold Speckle 1:591 (about 2,390, /50), Orange Wave 1:1,181 (1,194, /25), Black Wave 1:2,956 (477, /10), Red Wave 1:5,911 (239, /5) and Superfractor 1:28,784 (48 of 50).
  • 60 Years of Black Panther, 65 Fantastic Years and X-Force 35th Anniversary each run Gold Wave, Orange Wave, Black Wave, Red Wave and Superfractor in their one format, and all three come to the same counts: 477, 239, 95, 48 and 10.
  • Classic Comic Book Covers and Topps Originals: Orange 1:5,859, Black 1:14,392, Red 1:28,784 and Superfractor 1:132,404, which is 240, 96, 48 and 10. Astonishing has the same tiers as Wave Refractors (its Black Wave is 1:14,712, so 95), and Varied Visage: AoA runs Orange Wave 1:5,297, Black Wave 1:13,511, Red Wave 1:27,584 and Superfractor 1:132,404, which is 264, 105, 52 and all 11.
  • Cordially Invited: Orange 1:11,822, Black 1:28,784, Red 1:60,184 and Superfractor 1:331,008, which is 119, 48, 24 and all five. Topps Patrimony has the same four lines, the first one called simply Refractor, and no plain version on the sheet. At 119 cards for five subjects, that Refractor fits a /25.
  • The One and Only comes only as a Superfractor: 1:331,008 in hobby, 1:1,458,560 in Value and 1:860,000 in Mega, which is two, two and one, all five.
  • Marvel Reflections has only its plain version and a hobby-only Superfractor at 1:132,404, all five.
  • Golden Anniversaries has only a plain line and a Superfractor. The plain line comes to 477 cards, exactly what the Gold Wave /50 lines on the other 10-card sets give, so it looks numbered to 50. Its Superfractor lines come to more cards than the set has (more below).

The tiers fit /25, /10 and /5 the same way the rest of the product does. The plain versions are the surprise: every one comes to 47.5 to 47.8 copies per card, about 95.5 percent of a /50. Like Golden Anniversaries, they look numbered to 50. Topps' preview of the Vision single, below, is numbered 1/5. A Facsimile card of any kind falls about once every 600 hobby packs. Two Quad lines don't fit, covered below.

The autographs fill their runs a little more completely than the rest of the product: 171 of 175 Reds, 341 of 350 Blacks, 854 of 875 Oranges and about 1,705 of 1,750 Golds, 97 to 98 percent, with 34 of the 35 Superfractors. The Green and Purple come to about 95 percent. About 73 percent of each line is in hobby packs. The plain version comes to about 284 per artist.

Cordially Invited Autographs (six signers) fall 1:743 in hobby, 1:24,514 in Value and 1:4,135 in Mega, 1,219 cards or about 203 per signer. The Orange (1:7,439) comes to 122, the Black (1:18,390) to 49, the Red (1:31,525) to 29 and the Superfractor to all six: four in hobby at 1:165,504, one in Value at 1:2,917,120 and one in Mega.

Varied Visage Autographs have no plain version on the sheet. The ladder starts at Gold Wave (1:1,698, about 533 cards, /50) and runs Orange Wave (1:3,395, 266, /25), Black Wave (1:8,380, 107, /10), Red Wave (1:16,551, 54, /5) and Superfractor (1:82,752 in hobby, eight of the 11, with one in Value and two in Mega).

The One and Only cut signatures have a single Superfractor line: 1:662,016 in hobby and 1:2,917,120 in Value, with no Mega line. That's one card in each, so one of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko is in a hobby pack and the other in a Value pack.

Comic Excerpts: Spider-Man has one line, 1:3,138 in hobby, 1:104,183 in Value and 1:17,552 in Mega. That's 211, 28 and 49, 288 cards, or 24 of each of the 12.

The sketch cards fall 1:135 hobby packs, about 4,900 of them, or about 40 per artist across 124 artists. The Artist Originals fall 1:14,712 hobby packs: 45 cards between Eastman and Granov.

How many packs the sheet covers

The lines with a known count that sit in one format settle it:

65 Fantastic Years SuperfractorValue only101:291,7122,917,120
X-Force 35th Anniversary SuperfractorMega only101:86,000860,000

There are two cut signatures, the sheet lists them in hobby and Value only, and each line can only stand for one card. So the hobby count is 662,016 packs and the Value count 2,917,120. The 10-card Value-only and Mega-only Superfractors agree, and five more Mega lines that each stand for one card (the Cordially Invited, Topps Patrimony, The One and Only and Facsimile Dual and Triple Superfractors) all read 1:860,000.

The hobby-only lines come to 662,020 rather than 662,016 because this sheet rounds up. 662,016 divided by 5 is 132,403.2, and the Marvel Reflections Superfractor prints 1:132,404; rounded to the nearest pack it would read 1:132,403. The long lines show it throughout: 69 base Superfractors in 2,917,120 Value packs is one every 42,277.1, printed 1:42,278, and 23 Fanfare Superfractors in hobby is one every 28,783.3, printed 1:28,784. Rounded to the nearest pack, those would read 1:42,277 and 1:28,783. Of the 357 retail and hobby figures at 1:500 or longer, every one fits rounding up except eight, the round-number insert lines covered below and a few slips; none fits only rounding to the nearest pack.

So the sheet covers 662,016 hobby packs, 2,917,120 Value packs and 860,000 Mega packs, about 4.44 million packs in all. Value packs outnumber hobby packs about 4.4 to one, and Mega packs about 1.3 to one. Topps' product page doesn't give packs per box, so these can't be turned into boxes here.

Because the sheet rounds up, each count worked back from it is a floor. On long lines that makes little difference, since each format's figure is pinned to a whole card or within a few, as the Superfractors' 90, 69 and 32 are. On short lines the true count could be meaningfully higher: up to a third more at 1:4 and up to twice as many at 1:2, which is why those counts read "at least". The round-number lines on the plain inserts (1:960, 1:2,400, 1:4,800 and so on) look like targets rather than counts, so treat those estimates as close, not exact.

Not every numbered card is in a pack

The odds put about 95.5 percent of each numbered base and insert run in packs. On the base set:

TierEvery card at the full runIn packsShare

Gold /50 (each Gold line)10,000about 9,530 to 9,57095 to 96%

The small one-format inserts point to missing copies rather than missing characters. 60 Years of Black Panther, 65 Fantastic Years and X-Force 35th Anniversary each put all 10 of their Superfractors in packs, but only 48 of their 50 Red Wave cards, 95 of 100 Black Wave, 239 of 250 Orange Wave and 477 of 500 Gold Wave. A character missing a tier would take out five Reds or 10 Blacks at a time; instead each tier is short a few copies. Topps' note on the sheet says a subject on the checklist isn't guaranteed to appear in every parallel, but here the gap looks like a share of each run kept out of packs. Where those copies go, the sheet doesn't say.

The Superfractors follow the same share where the set is big enough to show it: 191 of 200 on the base set and the Clawed Chrome, 48 of 50 on Fanfare and 19 of 20 on each 20-card insert. The autographs run a little fuller, at about 97 percent.

The base set is the one count the sheet can't finish. Its line is 1:1 in all three formats, so there are at least as many base cards as packs: at least 4,439,136 base cards, or at least about 22,200 of each character. The real figure depends on how many base cards a pack holds after its other cards, and with no cards per pack on Topps' product page it can't be worked out.

The scarcest cards with no run on the sheet are the plain Clawed Chrome, about 19 of each, and the Comic Excerpts, 24 of each, about what a /25 tier puts in packs here (about 24 per card). At the other end, 65 Fantastic Years, at 1:8 Value packs, comes to at least about 36,460 of each of its 10 cards, all from Value packs, more per card than the base set's floor.

Where the sheet's lines don't fit together

  • Golden Anniversaries Superfractor. Its hobby line, 1:110,336, works out to six cards in hobby. With three in Value (1:972,374) and two in Mega (1:430,000), the three lines add up to 11 one-of-ones for a 10-card set. The other 10-card sets with the same Value and Mega odds read 1:132,404 in hobby, five cards.
  • Facsimile Quads. The Superfractor's Value line, 1:2,145,920, works out to 1.36 cards rather than a whole card; one card in hobby and one in Value would read 1:2,917,120. The Red Wave's lines come to 5, 4 and 2, 11 cards, one more than two subjects at /5 make, while every other Red tier on the sheet fits /5.
  • Cordially Invited Autographs Superfractor. Its Mega line reads 1:860,600, against 1:860,000 on every other one-card Mega line. At 860,000 packs no whole number of cards gives 1:860,600, though it's one card either way. Separately, the set's Orange and Black come to about 122 and 49, 81 and 82 percent of six signers at /25 and /10, while the Red fills 29 of 30. That part isn't a mismatch: it fits one of the six signers having no Orange or Black, which Topps' note on the sheet allows for.
  • Two formatting slips. The Fanfare Superfractor's Value odds print as 1:171.596, with a period where the comma goes, and the Varied Visage: AoA Value odds as 1:4800, without the comma.

The rarest pulls

The toughest lines in a hobby pack are the Facsimile Quad Superfractor and The One and Only cut signature Superfractor, both 1:662,016: one card each in all of hobby. Next, at 1:331,008 and two cards in hobby each, are the Superfractors of The One and Only, Cordially Invited, Topps Patrimony and the Facsimile Triples.

In Value packs, four lines stand for a single card in all 2,917,120 packs: the Stan Lee or Steve Ditko cut, the Facsimile Triple Superfractor, the Cordially Invited Autographs Superfractor and the Varied Visage Autographs Superfractor. In Mega, the Cordially Invited, Topps Patrimony, The One and Only and Facsimile Dual and Triple Superfractors are one card each in 860,000 packs, and so is the Cordially Invited Autographs Superfractor at 1:860,600.

Among the signed cards, the smallest Superfractor set after the two cuts is Cordially Invited Autographs: six cards (Feige, Judge, Alonso, Oswalt, Aoki and Meyers), four of them in hobby.

Across the product the Superfractor lines add up to 706 cards, reading the Golden Anniversaries and Quad lines as 10 and two cards (about 707 as printed): about 446 in hobby, 168 in Value and 92 in Mega. That's one every 1,480 hobby packs or so. On top of those come the 45 Artist Originals and about 4,900 sketch cards, all original sketches and all in hobby.

What to watch

The things we're watching: serial numbers on the Spider-Web, Aqua, Dazzler's Silver Rhythm, Spider-Web Red/Blue, Human Torch and Logofractor parallels, the Storm's Green Lightning and the Green X-Fractor, to confirm the runs the odds point to; whether the plain Facsimile Autographs and Golden Anniversaries carry a /50, and the Clawed Chrome Variation a /20; an updated sheet that squares the Golden Anniversaries Superfractor and Facsimile Quad lines; and Topps' pack configuration for the three boxes, which would finish the base set count. We'll update this piece if any of that changes.

The full checklist and every parallel with its odds are on the 2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics release page, which lists the multi-character cards once per character and the sketch cards once per artist, so its count runs higher than Topps' 744.
