Question 1

What is HobbyMonitor and how does it help card collectors?

Accepted Answer

HobbyMonitor is your home for the hobby, the Collector's Command Center. Our tools include AI card scanning with PSA-style grading estimates, Market Pulse instant price searches in our mobile app, collection tracking with cost basis and valuation, prospect market tracking with real-time Bowman pricing and community ratings, release checklists across all sports, and expert insights. Whether you're a casual collector or serious investor, our platform provides the data you need to make informed collecting decisions.

Question 2

How accurate is the Card Scanner for grading estimates?

Accepted Answer

Our Card Scanner uses advanced AI technology trained on thousands of graded cards to provide PSA-style grade estimates for all types of trading cards. While our estimates are highly accurate for determining general condition and potential value, they should be used as a reference tool. For official grading, always submit cards to professional grading services like PSA, BGS, or SGC.

Question 3

What is Market Pulse and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

Market Pulse is the price search in the HobbyMonitor mobile app. Type in any card, or fill in the details like player, product, parallel, and serial number, and it runs the same research as a price scan: an estimated value with recent sales and comps. Each search uses one of your monthly scan credits, and results appear in seconds for cards we track closely.

Question 4

What makes HobbyMonitor different from other card collecting tools?

Accepted Answer

HobbyMonitor is built as a true command center for collectors. Everything you need in one platform: AI-powered card scanning, Market Pulse price search, collection tracking, prospect market tracking with real-time Bowman pricing and community ratings, release checklists across all sports, and expert insights.
