Eli Willits is the star (duh)
He has 23 total cards incl 12 autos + appears in Spotlight + Crystalized + Etched in Glass and many more. Value (for breakers) comes from depth in the product: total auto subjects + chase inserts + star power
Value teams I like at these prices if you MUST break
-
ARI $125: Kayson Cunningham (9 cards / 3 autos + Etched). 3 other 1st subjects, no one I am huge on but reflected in the price.
-
HOU $130: Xavier Neyens (11 / 5 + Etched). Not big on Frey, the only other 1st subject. but the price is lower than I expected.
-
OAK $215: Jamie Arnold (13 / 3 + Spotlight + Crystalized + Etched). Devin Taylor is the only other 1st auto, but has a Gold Ink + Portrain auto. Leo De Vries has autos, Morii has cards. I am pretty high on Arnold, so overall a fun team for me.
-
TEX $240: Gavin Fien (14 / 6 + Spotlight + Crystalized + Etched), Not huge on Fien but also a second crystalized subject in Walcott, 3 Gold Ink chases, Bowman Draft Night auto.
As always
As always: singles > breaks for value. I am not breaking 2025 Bowman Draft as much as 2025 Bowman as I think the play may be an Eli Willits auto + my other chases in March or later, and there may be a name I was a bit sad to see kept out of this product. Jamie Arnold I could see being a rare name that rises into spring training vs. fall, MLB execs already listed him as a potential RoTY vote getter!
