A lot of HobbyMonitor is open to everyone. You can browse prospect rankings, the release calendar, market indices, the wax tracker, breaks, articles, and the public gallery without signing in. You can browse the scanner to see how it works, but running a scan and saving it requires a free account . You'll also need one to build collections, use your watchlist, and get notifications. Signing in is quick — email and password, Google, or Apple. AI scanning also asks you to verify your email first.

How do I create an account?

Creating an account is free. Choose Sign Up and register with an email and password, with Google, or with Apple — whichever is easiest. If you sign up with email, check your inbox for a verification link, which unlocks AI features. The same account works across web, mobile, and desktop.

They share one account and your data syncs across all of them — use whatever fits the moment. Mobile app — best for scanning on the go (Quick Scan, Batch Scan, Slab Lookup, the hands on Centering tool) and quick collection checks. Web app — the full experience: collections, prospects, the market tools (indices, wax tracker, breaks, deals), and deeper research on a big screen. Desktop scanner — fastest for working through very large stacks. Start on whichever you have handy; everything stays in sync.

A quick tour: scan a card, save it, and check its value

1. Scan it. Open the scanner, photograph the front of your card (or upload a photo), and choose a scan mode. Our AI identifies the player, set, year, parallel, and more. 2. Review and save. Check the auto filled details, tweak anything that needs it, and save the card to a collection. 3. Check its value. Run Check Price (or Research) to pull a current market estimate backed by comparable sales. That's the core loop. Everything else — selling, prospect tracking, deals — builds on it.
