2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1: The Complete Odds, Parallel, and Print Run Breakdown

2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1: The Complete Odds, Parallel, and Print Run Breakdown

2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1 released October 15, with the First Day Issue boxes out ahead of it, and Topps' odds sheet covers four formats: Hobby, First Day Issue, Value and Mega. It lists odds, not print runs, but it gives away more than usual. Twelve lines in the First Day Issue column read exactly the same, 1:20,640, and that only works if each of those lines is a single card. From there the sheet tells you how many packs of each format were made, how many copies of every base card exist, and how scarce the cards with no serial number really are.

The checklist

The base set is 200 cards and goes well past the F1 grid. The 22 current drivers lead it off, with Cadillac's Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas filling out Topps' expanded 22-driver grid, and Arvid Lindblad is the only driver with a rookie tag. Behind them come 22 F2 drivers, 27 from F3 and 17 from F1 Academy, then F1 Cars, a Grand Prix Winners card for each of the 24 races of 2025, Driver of the Day, Award Winners, 15 legends from Juan Manuel Fangio and Ayrton Senna to Kimi Räikkönen, 11 team duos, 11 team logos and 11 team principals. Colton Herta turns up in the F2 group with Topps' 1st Logo tag.

The inserts come in three groups:

  • The color inserts. Speed Wheels (Topps' 1975 Speed Wheels set reworked for F1), Austin to Mexico City, Dancing in the Rain and Helmet Collection run 22 cards each with a full color ladder. Women of the Paddock adds 11 cards, including Susie Wolff, Hannah Schmitz, Laura Müller and Jamie Chadwick.
  • The retail inserts. Home Straight and Suit Up, 25 cards each, are Value and Mega only. Each adds three legends to the grid: Räikkönen, Riccardo Patrese and David Coulthard in Home Straight, Senna, Mika Häkkinen and Rubens Barrichello in Suit Up. Art Du Grand Prix, five race posters, is retail only too.
  • The short prints. Helix, Abu Dhabi At Night, The Grid, Chrome Anime (nine drivers in a manga-style design), Genesis, Futuro and the Helmet Collection Image Variations.

The Grail is back as well. It is a nine-card set whose artwork joins into one three-by-three picture, spread across three Topps F1 products (Chrome, Composite and Finest). The set is built around last season's top three, and Chrome's three pieces are Lando Norris, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.

Autographs are the bigger story. Topps put an autograph in every Hobby box for the first time, and the main Chrome Autographs set runs 100 signers: the full 22-driver grid, 18 legends including Alain Prost, Häkkinen, Räikkönen, Nigel Mansell and Jackie Stewart, all 11 team principals, and 49 drivers from F2, F3 and F1 Academy. Vuelta 1 Autographs has all 22 current drivers on a tile-pattern design. Podium Triple Autographs has a card for each of the 24 races of 2025, signed by the three drivers on that podium. Futuro Chrome Autographs has four young drivers: Lindblad, Rafael Câmara, Ugo Ugochukwu and F1 Academy's Kaylee Countryman. And the top card in the product is Lindblad's F1 Debut Patch Autograph, a one of one, which the sheet lists as a redemption.

The formats

  • Hobby: 20 packs of 4 cards, 12 boxes to a case. One autograph and four Prism Refractors per box. The sheet's autograph lines add up to 1.02 per box.
  • First Day Issue: the same 20 packs of 4 cards and 12 boxes to a case, built around numbered parallels. Topps promises five numbered parallels per box, and the Molten Mercury Refractor, numbered to 15, exists only here. Its only autographs are Molten Mercury versions of the Chrome Autographs, at 1:19 packs, about one per box.
  • Value Box: 7 packs of 4 cards, with four B&W RayWave Refractors, two Refractors, two retail-exclusive inserts and three more inserts per box. The RayWave color ladder is Value only.
  • Mega Box: new this year. 6 packs of 7 cards, 20 boxes to a case, with eight Checker Flag base parallels, two Refractors, two retail-exclusive inserts and four more inserts per box. The Checker Flag color ladder is Mega only.

Topps lists three more editions, Hongbao, Logofractor and Sapphire. They have columns on the sheet, but every line in them is blank, so nothing below covers them.

Autographs are scarce outside Hobby and First Day Issue. The sheet works out to about one per 19 Mega boxes, roughly one a case, and one per 78 Value boxes.

The base rainbow

The sheet prints no serial numbers, but the odds back the published print runs: add up the four formats and every numbered base tier comes to about the same share of its print run. The tiers that run through every format, with odds per pack:

In Hobby that works out to a base Red /5 about once every 153 boxes and a base SuperFractor about once every 763.

The Full Grid Refractor is the new one. Topps describes it as featuring the current driver line-up, and the odds treat it as a parallel of all 200 base cards, not just the 22 driver cards. If it only ran on the drivers, its odds would be about nine times longer.

Each format also gets a color ladder the others don't, except that Hobby and First Day Issue share the Prism:

Plus the Molten Mercury /15, First Day Issue only, at 1:7 packs.

The Prism ladder is the better Hobby rip. A Blue Prism /150 falls 1:38 Hobby packs against 1:102 for the Blue Refractor, because the Prism copies only go into Hobby and First Day Issue while the Refractor copies are split four ways.

The insert ladders

The four 22-card color inserts share one set of odds, and Women of the Paddock runs the same ladder on half as many cards. Hobby odds:

How many packs the sheet covers

The First Day Issue column gives it away. Twelve lines read exactly 1:20,640: the Black, Red and SuperFractor of Chrome Anime, Futuro and Genesis, and the SuperFractors of Abu Dhabi At Night, Helix and The Grid. Those cards have different print runs, so the only way they share odds is if First Day Issue got the same small number of each. That number is one copy, which makes 20,640 the number of First Day Issue packs. Hobby and Value do the same thing: the Futuro SuperFractor reads 1:1,090,080 Hobby and 1:1,361,080 Value, and Lindblad's Debut Patch Autograph, a one of one, also reads 1:1,090,080 Hobby. Mega never lists a single copy, but its Black, Red and SuperFractor lines on Chrome Anime, Genesis and Futuro all land on 696,720: the Chrome Anime SuperFractor at 1:232,240 is three copies, the Futuro Red at 1:116,120 is six, and the Genesis Red at 1:43,545 is sixteen.

Check those pack counts against the rest of the sheet and they hold up. The rare lines on Chrome Anime, Genesis, Futuro, Helix, Abu Dhabi At Night, The Grid, The Grail and the retail inserts are that pack count divided by a whole number of copies, every non-autograph SuperFractor adds up to a whole number of cards across the four formats, and every format comes out in whole boxes, and whole cases where Topps gives a case size.

FormatPacksConfigurationBoxesCases
Hobby1,090,08020 packs of 454,5044,542
First Day Issue20,64020 packs of 41,03286
Value Box1,361,0807 packs of 4194,440-
Mega Box696,7206 packs of 7116,1205,806
Total3,168,520366,096

Each count is boxed in from both sides. It can't be any lower, or those one-copy lines would come out under one card. It can't be much higher either. Go about 4 percent higher in Hobby, Value or Mega and the color ladders that live in one format (Prism, RayWave and Checker Flag) run past their print runs, so doubling any of them is out. In First Day Issue, two copies a line would put the Molten Mercury /15 far past its print run.

There is one catch. At these pack counts the color ladders come up a little short. Every numbered base parallel comes to 96.5 percent of its print run, 193 base SuperFractors where there should be 200, and the insert ladders are short by the same margin. The lines that come out whole are the rare ones: the SuperFractor totals, The Grail, and the Black and Red on the short prints. So either Topps worked out its ladder odds on about 3.6 percent more packs, about 1.13 million Hobby packs or 56,500 boxes, or about 3.5 percent of each ladder sits somewhere these four formats don't reach. The sheet can't tell those apart. Read the counts above as the floor, with the top end about 3.6 percent higher. It doesn't change a single print run.

First Day Issue is tiny. 1,032 boxes against 54,504 Hobby boxes, and it gets 1 percent of every base color ladder.

Base cards: the four formats hold about 14.8 million cards. After taking out the parallels, inserts and autographs that fill pack slots, each of the 200 base cards exists in about 45,000 copies, or about 180 base copies for every Pink /250.

The unnumbered chases

The same pack counts estimate the cards with no serial number. Add up packs divided by odds across the four formats, then divide by the number of cards in the set. The most common lines, like 1:3 and 1:8, are rounded hard, so the bottom of this table is rough.

The two scarcest are both Hobby and First Day Issue only. The Grid at about 24 copies per driver and Abu Dhabi At Night at about 26 are each about as scarce as an Orange /25, with no number on the card.

The Grail lands on whole numbers: 35 copies of the Norris piece (12 in Hobby, 11 in Value and 12 in Mega), 48 of Verstappen and 60 of Piastri, and none in First Day Issue.

Helix and the Helmet Collection Image Variations both come out at about 97 copies per card, and Chrome Anime at about 193. At the higher pack count those are exactly 100, 100 and 200, which looks like what Topps was aiming for.

The unnumbered Chrome Autographs are about 105 per signer, if spread evenly. Across every format and every color there are about 65,000 autographs in the product.

Where the numbers get uneven

Topps notes that a subject in a set does not guarantee a card in every parallel, and the odds show where that happens:

  • Chrome Autographs colors: the Aqua /199 is harder to pull than the Blue /150, 1:124 Hobby packs against 1:119. The Aqua accounts for only about 44 of the 100 signers, the Blue about 61, the Green about 82 and the Purple about 85. Gold through the SuperFractor cover close to all 100.
  • Retail autograph colors: the Gold Checker Flag /50 covers about 47 signers and the Orange RayWave /25 about 31. The Black RayWave /10, at 1:1,588 Value packs, is easier to pull than the Orange RayWave /25 at 1:1,783. The First Day Issue Molten Mercury /15 works out to about 72 signers.
  • Vuelta 1: the Purple /75 accounts for about 12 of the 22 drivers and the Gold /50 about 17. Orange down through the SuperFractor cover about 21.
  • Podium Triples: the Black /10 is listed at 1:55,334 Hobby packs, longer than the SuperFractor at 1:46,112. That is about 20 Black cards in all, two races' worth, against a Red /5 and a SuperFractor for close to all 24 races. It is also the exact same figure as the Futuro Chrome Autographs Red line, so it could be a misprint.
  • Futuro Chrome Autographs: the Orange /25 covers about three of the four signers.
  • SuperFractors on the inserts: there isn't one of every card. The four 22-card color inserts work out to 19 SuperFractors each, Abu Dhabi At Night and Helix to 20 of 22, The Grid to 18 of 19, Genesis to 9 of 10, Women of the Paddock to 8 of 11 and the Helmet Collection Image Variations to 7 of 10. Chrome Anime is the only short print with all nine. The Futuro SuperFractor has three copies, one each in Hobby, First Day Issue and Value, for four cards.
  • Futuro's fourth card: Topps' checklist lists Futuro card number 4 as TBD, but the odds are built for four cards. The Black /10 comes to exactly 40 copies and the Red /5 to exactly 20.

We are not quoting full-checklist copy counts for those tiers until the cards themselves settle it.

The rarest pulls

The rarest card in the product is Arvid Lindblad's F1 Debut Patch Autograph, a one of one at 1:1,090,080 Hobby packs: one card in the entire Hobby run. The Futuro SuperFractor sits at the same Hobby odds and has three copies in the whole product. Behind them, by Hobby odds, come the Helmet Collection Image Variations SuperFractor at 1:420,880, the Women of the Paddock SuperFractor at 1:368,270, and the Chrome Anime and Genesis SuperFractors at 1:363,360. At 20 packs a box, a Chrome Anime SuperFractor is about one in 18,000 Hobby boxes.

First Day Issue has its own version of that. Those twelve 1:20,640 lines mean the entire run of 1,032 boxes holds exactly one Black, one Red and one SuperFractor each of Chrome Anime, Futuro and Genesis, plus one SuperFractor each of Abu Dhabi At Night, Helix and The Grid.

What to watch

The things we are watching: who fills the fourth Futuro spot, whether the Podium Triple Black line is real, the first insert SuperFractors to see which drivers are left out, the Hongbao, Logofractor and Sapphire editions, and whether Topps revises the sheet. We will update this piece if any of that changes.

The full checklist and every parallel with its print run and odds are on the 2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1 Racing release page, and you can track what you pull in HobbyMonitor Collections.
