2025 Topps Star Wars Masterwork: The Complete Odds, Parallel, and Print Run Breakdown

2025 Topps Star Wars Masterwork: The Complete Odds, Parallel, and Print Run Breakdown

2025 Topps Star Wars Masterwork released June 3, 2026. Topps' odds sheet is one column of 90 lines with no print runs, and neither Topps' checklist nor its product page lists a run either, though a few of the product page's preview cards carry serial numbers. The small autograph and relic sets still pin down the size of the run: their one-of-one lines put it at about 53,730 of the sheet's units. Read as 20-card hobby boxes, the only reading the sheet's own lines fit, that's about 53,730 boxes; Topps' box art, which says one hit per mini-box, would make it about 13,430. Either way, the number of copies of each card comes out the same. From there we can check every ladder, estimate the cards with no serial number, and point out the few lines on the sheet that don't add up.

The box

Topps' product page lists 5 cards per mini-box and 4 mini-boxes per master box, so a hobby box is 20 cards, and it says one hit card per box. Topps says to look for on-card autographs, relic cards and original sketch cards. The page shows the hobby box sold out, with a limit of 10 per cart, and says Masterwork first came out in 2015. The box art in the page's photos says something different: "1 hit per mini-box" and "2 autographs guaranteed per master box", which would be four hits a box.

The sheet's header reads "SKU 1 Pack" over a single column of odds. Its autographs, relics, sketch cards and buybacks add up to about 1.04 a unit, so a unit is whatever holds one hit: the hobby box by the product page's text, the mini-box by the box art. Only the 20-card box fits the rest of the sheet. Counting a single base card, its lines add up to about 6.4 cards a unit, and even at the low end of the sheet's rounding they come to more than five, so they can't fit in a five-card mini-box. Per mini-box, though, the sheet's signed cards would come to about 2.6 a master box, in line with the box art's two guaranteed, against about 0.66 a box on the 20-card reading. Topps' own figures don't agree, so every odds figure in this piece is per unit on the sheet, which we read as a hobby box: a Base Gold at 1:566 means about one in every 566 boxes. If the units turn out to be mini-boxes, divide every box count here by four; the copies of each card stay the same.

Adding up every version on the sheet, an average box holds:

CardPer box

The base figure is what's left of the 20 cards after every other line on the sheet. The hits break down like this:

That's about 0.66 signed cards a box (autograph relics included), 0.25 sketch cards and 0.13 relics. About two boxes in three hold an on-card autograph, and a sketch card turns up about once every four boxes.

The checklist

Not counting sketch cards, Topps' checklist runs 589 cards across 19 sets, plus two buyback headings with no cards listed under them.

The base set is 100 characters, from Luke Skywalker at #1 to Leia Organa at #100, including Grogu, The Mandalorian, Jedi Master Sol, Jod Na Nawood, Baylan Skoll, Cassian Andor, Luthen Rael, Darth Vader, Rey and Kylo Ren.

The inserts:

  • Under Disguise, 26 cards, from The Mandalorian (UN-1) to Darth Vader (UN-26), with Bo-Katan Kryze, Zorii Bliss, Jango Fett, Kylo Ren, Captain Rex and Boba Fett among them.
  • Fall of the Chosen One, 24 scenes, from "I Sense Great Fear In You" to "The Sith Lords", by way of "I Am The Senate" and "Anakin Skywalker Becomes Darth Vader".
  • Galactic Die Cut Pods, 24 cards, from Padmé Amidala to Darth Sidious, with Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, Sheev Palpatine and Jar Jar Binks among them.
  • Short Circuit, 26 cards, from R2-D2 to AD-4M, including C-3PO, K-2SO, Chopper and BB-8.
  • BB-8, 10 cards, from "An Initial Threat" to "Fixing D-O".
  • Lothal Jedi Temple Mortis Gods Painting Puzzle, nine pieces.

The autographs:

  • 2025 Masterworks On Card Autographs, 96 cards from 94 people on Topps' checklist. Hayden Christensen signs as both Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, and Andy Serkis as both Supreme Leader Snoke and Kino Loy. Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), Jude Law (Jod Na Nawood) and Lizzo (The Duchess) are among them.
  • Duo Autographs (10 cards), Trio Autographs (5) and Quad Autographs (5). One Quad has Jeremy Bulloch, David Prowse, Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams as Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Han Solo and Lando Calrissian; another has Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Ewan McGregor and Samuel L. Jackson as Darth Vader, Darth Sidious, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu.
  • Ultimate Book Card Autographs, four cards with 10 signers each on Topps' checklist. The first is Jeremy Bulloch, Billy Dee Williams, Ian McDiarmid, David Prowse, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and David Barclay.
  • 10 Years of Masterworks Buybacks and Harrison Ford Buyback On Card Autos. Topps' checklist has a heading for each and lists no cards under either.

The autograph relics are Pen Autograph Relic (85 cards from 84 people, mostly the on-card signers, plus Vivien Lyra Blair as Leia Organa and Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Wim), ROTJ Film Cel Autograph Relic (32 cards from 13 signers: Ian McDiarmid six times, Warwick Davis five, Billy Dee Williams four, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill and Tim Rose three each, Harrison Ford two, and one each for Jeremy Bulloch, Kenneth Colley, Simon Williamson, Carrie Fisher, Mike Quinn and Michael Pennington), Autograph Relic Cards (11, including Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian, Diego Luna as Cassian Andor and David Tennant as Huyang) and Skeleton Crew Autograph Relic (9). Counting every autograph set, 125 different people sign.

The relics are ROTJ Film Cel (91 cards of 28 characters, Luke Skywalker 12 times, Han Solo 8 and Leia Organa 7), Relic Cards (12 on Topps' checklist, REL-1 to REL-12) and Skeleton Crew Relic (10). Topps' checklist ties the Relic Cards and Autograph Relic Cards to a TIE Fighter (Ahsoka), an Outland TIE Fighter (The Mandalorian) and a missile and a vaporator (Andor), and both Skeleton Crew sets to the Starport Dinghy.

Then there are the sketch cards, from 208 artists on Topps' list.

The base ladder

Odds per box. Topps prints no runs, so the last column is the standard run each line fits at about 53,730 boxes (worked out further down): boxes divided by the odds, divided by 100 cards.

ParallelOddsIn boxesPer cardFits
Blue1:1about 53,700about 537no standard run

Black1:113about 475about 4.8/5
Gold1:566950.951/1
Printing Plates1:141about 381of 4 per card1/1

From Purple down, every tier comes to 95 to 98 percent of a standard run. The Green comes to about 90 percent of a /99, low against the rest, though 1:6 is a short enough line that rounding could cover the gap. The Blue comes to about 537 of each card if it's exactly one a box, but 1:1 on its own only says about 360 or more.

The insert ladders

The numbered tiers line up across all five sets. Canvas comes to about 23.8 copies of each card, which fits a /25. Wood comes to about 9.5, a /10, and Metal to about 4.8, a /5. The Gold Metal is a one-of-one (the C-3PO below is numbered 1/1): the odds put 25 of the 26 Under Disguise and Short Circuit Gold Metals in boxes and 23 of the 24 Fall of the Chosen One. Galactic Die Cut Pods has no Metal or Gold Metal line, and BB-8 has a Colored Metal in place of the Metal. Its 1:119 works out to about 45 of each card, but Topps' preview of a BB-8 card coded BB8M-7 is numbered 1/5 (more on that below).

2025 Topps Star Wars Masterwork C-3PO Short Circuit Gold Metal numbered 1/1

The Rainbow Foil has no serial number on the sheet, but it lands in the same place in every set: about 295 of each Under Disguise and Short Circuit card, about 280 of each Fall of the Chosen One and Galactic Die Cut Pods card, and about 283 of each BB-8. That's close to what a /299 would give at the 95 percent the numbered tiers show. Topps doesn't say whether it's numbered.

The autographs

The on-card autographs, odds per box, with what the odds put in boxes across 96 cards:

VersionOddsIn boxesPer card

Silver-Framed1:121about 444about 4.6
Gold-Framed1:611880.92
Printing Plates1:179about 300of 4 per card

Only the top of this ladder settles. The Gold-Framed works out to 88 cards, one each for 88 of the 96 if it's a one-of-one, and Topps' preview of Mark Hamill's Gold-Framed Luke Skywalker is numbered 1/1. The Silver-Framed comes to 444, about 93 percent of a /5 on all 96 or a full /5 on about 89. The Rainbow Foil fits a /25 at about 90 percent. Below that, the Blue Foil, Canvas and Wood don't land on a standard run if every signer has every version, so they're given here as copies in boxes. Topps' checklist carries a note that actual contents and odds may vary.

Quad Autographs51:2,239 (24)--1:10,746 (5)
Ultimate Book Card Autographs4--1:10,746 (5)1:13,432 (4)

At about 53,730 boxes, every one of these lines works out to a whole number of cards. The Gold-Framed and Gold lines come to exactly one per card, and so does the Trio Silver-Framed. The Duo, Trio and Quad base versions come to about 4.7 or 4.8 per card, close to a /5. The Duo Wood and Silver-Framed come to 3.8 per card and the Trio Wood to two. The Ultimate Book cards have no base version on the sheet, and their Silver comes to five cards across four.

The relics and autograph relics

Autograph Relic Cards111:2,828----1:1,0331:4,884
Skeleton Crew Autograph Relic91:1,414----1,2491:5570

The Skeleton Crew Autograph Relic Black and Gold are shown as printed: the Black has no "1:" in front of it, and the Gold has no comma. Both are covered below.

The Relic Cards ladder runs like the base set's: Green about 95 per card (/99), Purple about 48 (/50), Red about 24 (/25), Orange about 9.5 (/10), Black about 4.8 (/5), and the Gold exactly 12, one for each card. The Skeleton Crew Relic Purple, Red, Orange and Gold fit /50, /25, /10 and 1/1 the same way. Both Black lines on the autograph relics come to about 4.7 or 4.8 per card, a /5. The Autograph Relic Cards Gold is exactly one per card, and the Skeleton Crew Autograph Relic Gold comes close, with a problem covered below.

The other three relic lines have no ladder. The ROTJ Film Cel Relic falls 1:618, which is 87 cards across the 91 on the checklist, about one each. The ROTJ Film Cel Autograph Relic falls 1:1,791, which is 30 cards across 32, and the Leia Organa at the top of this piece is numbered 1/1. The Pen Autograph Relic falls 1:672, which is 80 cards across 85. So all three come to about one copy per card, which fits one-of-ones with a few left out of boxes.

How many boxes the sheet covers

The one-of-one lines on the small hit sets settle it. Multiply the odds by the number of cards and each one comes to the same box count:

LineCardsOddsCards x odds
Duo Autographs Gold-Framed101:5,37353,730
Skeleton Crew Relic Gold101:5,37353,730
Trio Autographs Silver-Framed51:10,74653,730

Ultimate Book Card Autographs Gold41:13,43253,728
Relic Cards Gold121:4,47753,724
Autograph Relic Cards Gold111:4,88453,724

If Topps rounds each line to the nearest whole box, only 53,728 and 53,729 fit all eight. Rounding down would allow 53,730 or 53,731 instead, but then other lines stop coming out to whole cards. The Base Gold at 1:566 is 95 cards and the on-card Gold-Framed at 1:611 is 88 only if the figures were rounded to the nearest box: 53,729 divided by 95 is 565.6, and divided by 88 it's 610.6. The ROTJ Film Cel Relic (87 cards, 617.6, printed 1:618) and the Pen Autograph Relic (80 cards, 671.6, printed 1:672) say the same.

So the sheet covers 53,728 or 53,729 of its units, about 53,730. Read as hobby boxes, that's about 214,900 mini-boxes and, at 20 cards a box, about 1.07 million cards. If the units are mini-boxes, as the box art's one hit per mini-box implies, it's about 13,430 hobby boxes and about 269,000 cards, though then the sheet's lines no longer fit in five cards. Topps' product page doesn't give a case configuration, so there's no case count here.

Because the sheet rounds to the nearest box, the counts in this piece are central figures, good to about half a step of the odds either way. That matters most on the short lines: a 1:1 or 1:2 can hide a lot.

Not every numbered card is in a box

At 53,730 boxes, here's the share of each numbered tier the odds put in boxes, against the standard run each one fits:

The printing plates follow the same line: 381 of the 400 base plates, 99 of 104 on Under Disguise and on Short Circuit, 92 of 96 on Fall of the Chosen One and on Galactic Die Cut Pods, and 39 of 40 on BB-8. The on-card autograph plates are the outlier, at about 300 of 384, or full sets for about 75 signers.

The pattern is steady: about 95 percent of every numbered base, insert and relic tier is in boxes, one-of-ones included. The Golds on the hit sets are the exception, and every Duo, Trio, Quad, Ultimate Book, Relic Cards, Skeleton Crew Relic and Autograph Relic Cards Gold is in a box. The sheet doesn't say where the other 5 percent of the base and insert ladders went.

The cards with no print run

At 53,730 boxes, the base set, the base version of every insert, autograph and relic set, and every version that doesn't settle on a standard run work out like this: boxes divided by the odds, divided by the number of cards.

The base set has no count of its own on the sheet, so its figure is what's left of each 20-card box after every other line: about 14.6 base cards a box, or about 784,000 base cards in all. That leans on the two 1:1 lines, the Blue and Under Disguise, being one a box each; 1:1 only says at least about two in three boxes, so treat the base and Blue figures as rough. It also needs the 20-card reading: per five-card mini-box, the sheet leaves no room for base cards at all.

Two hit sets come out scarcer in their base versions than in their Black /5. The Autograph Relic Cards base works out to 19 cards in all, about 1.7 per card, against 52 Blacks, and the Skeleton Crew Autograph Relic base to 38, against 43 Blacks.

The sketch cards are original art, so every one is one of a kind. The odds put about 13,430 regular sketch cards in boxes, an average of about 65 per artist across 208 artists, plus about 84 Book Cards, 67 Panoramic and 62 Triptych sketches, about 13,650 in all.

The two buyback sets have no cards on Topps' checklist, so they can only be counted in total: the 10 Years of Masterworks Buybacks at 1:566 come to 95 cards, and the Harrison Ford Buyback On Card Autos at 1:10,746 to five.

Where the sheet doesn't add up

  • Hits per box. Topps' product page says one hit card per box; its box art says one hit per mini-box and two autographs guaranteed per master box. The sheet's card counts only fit the product page, but its signed cards only reach the box art's two a box if the odds are per mini-box. That's why the box counts here could be four times too high.
  • The Skeleton Crew Relic Black. It falls 1:119, about as often as the set's Purple (1:113) and almost twice as often as its Red (1:225). That works out to about 45 per card, nowhere near the /5 the Black is on every other ladder here. A /5 at 95 percent would print about 1:1,130. 1:119 is also the BB-8 Colored Metal figure, another 10-card line, so it could be a slip.
  • The BB-8 Colored Metal. Its 1:119 also works out to about 45 of each card, but Topps' preview of BB8M-7, Waking Up R2-D2 (the M looks like the metal version's code), is numbered 1/5. A /5 at 95 percent across 10 cards would print about 1:1,130 here too. Unless the Colored Metal comes in several colors, the sheet's figure or the preview's numbering is off.
  • The Skeleton Crew Autograph Relic Gold. It's printed 1:5570, which at 53,730 boxes is 9.6 cards, more than nine cards can make if each Gold is a one-of-one, as every other Gold here appears to be. 1:5,970 would be exactly nine.
  • The Skeleton Crew Autograph Relic Black is printed "1,249" with no "1:". Read as 1:1,249, it's 43 cards, about 4.8 per card, which fits a /5 like the Autograph Relic Cards Black.
  • The Ultimate Book Card Autographs Silver comes to five cards across four book cards, while the Gold comes to exactly four.
  • The on-card autograph ladder doesn't land on standard runs below the Silver-Framed, and the on-card printing plates come up about a fifth short of four per card.

2025 Topps Star Wars Masterwork BB-8 Waking Up R2-D2 card BB8M-7 numbered 1/5

The rarest pulls

The toughest line on the sheet is the Ultimate Book Card Autographs Gold at 1:13,432 boxes. There are four, one of each book card, and each carries 10 signatures. Next, at 1:10,746, five lines come to five cards each: the Ultimate Book Silver, the Trio Silver-Framed and Gold-Framed, the Quad Gold (one for each of the five Quads, the Bulloch, Prowse, Ford and Williams card among them) and the Harrison Ford Buyback On Card Autos.

Then come the Skeleton Crew Autograph Relic Gold (1:5570 as printed, nine cards), and at 1:5,373 the Duo Gold-Framed, the Trio Wood and the Skeleton Crew Relic Gold, 10 cards each.

Across the product, the Golds, the Gold Metals, the Gold-Framed and Trio Silver-Framed autographs and the film cel autographs add up to about 360 one-of-ones in boxes, about one every 150 boxes. The printing plates add about 1,100 more, and the sketch cards, each one of a kind, about 13,650.

What to watch

The things we're watching: a word from Topps on whether a box holds one hit or four, which settles whether the sheet covers about 53,730 boxes or about 13,430; a corrected line for the Skeleton Crew Relic Black, the BB-8 Colored Metal and the Skeleton Crew Autograph Relic Gold; the first serial numbers on the Blue, the Rainbow Foils and the on-card Blue Foil, Canvas and Wood; whether the base versions of the multi-signed sets and autograph relics are numbered; and a list of the cards in the two buyback sets. We'll update this piece if any of that changes.

The set's checklist and parallels are on the 2025 Topps Star Wars Masterwork release page, and you can track what you pull in HobbyMonitor Collections.
